Windsurfer Beach Chalets

Chalets are perfect if you want a retro beach side stay a-la-beach shack, back to real basics style. Ours was neat, tidy & clean but they're at that stage where vinyl floors have old grime, curtain rails were rusty, the curtains grotty and furniture tired. A curtain or blind on the back door is needed next to the bathroom/loo access. Beds including the queen are pipeline, we used a (very clean!) rubbish bin as a bedside table. Although the mattress was a simple thin one it was good and sheets were crisp & clean. Heating was not great or instant with 2 old small column heaters. We felt like we were back in the 70s in a beach shack although online the chalets appear more modern from the outside. The cafe next door was (presumably seasonally) shut the next morning. For a similar price on the same trip, we stayed in modern 4 star coastal luxury. We visited in winter cold, maybe the value would kick in for for a couple with kids wanting the simple summer beach holiday. And as the other reviews say, dont forget to take your own towels, bathroom as well as beach towels! There was a coffee & snacks van off a beach path by the way, looks for the signs.

Simple place awesomely located for tinny adventures, windsurfing etc. Really enjoyed our stay. Its not flash but who wants that in a beach shack.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Walking distance to everything we needed. Floor was dirty under foot on arrival so we moped ourselves. Place is fairly run down and in need of some love.

Studio was ok - bed comfy & kitchen had all the basics but no milk! No hot water! This was remedied next morning but only after a phone call & 2 visits to reception. Gas for heating water had run out due to excessive use by teenage girls the previous day.Good response from owner & we did appreciate the hot water fix.

Was great. Cheerful and best location possible. Love it.

Didnt like the back door being perspex and see through, wasnt told when booking we had to bring our own towels, no value for money. Except it very close to the beach

Great studio room right by the ocean. Good place to stay while exploring in and around Lancelin.

Studio apartment was adequate as per its advertised facilities. However, what started as an enjoyable holiday was ruined over the last two days by the upstairs apartment being used by a family with young children. Obviously the parents believed it was ok for the children to run up and down the wooden floored apartment and back stairs early morning (7.00am Saturday and 6.38am Sunday) , noon and night with no respect for the occupants below.

For $200 a night I found this accommodation to be overpriced.You have to bring your own towels and soapThere is tea, coffee and sugar but no milkI found the main bed to be uncomfortable. Both my husband and I had a terrible night sleep.There's a lack of privacy. The back door is glass and there is no curtain and other guests can see straight in when they walk past.There is a sensor above the toilet door that activates the fan. Once activated the fan stay on for approx 10 mins. The fans are loud. So loud in fact that not once but twice I was woken by the neighbours fan.The other bedroom with the bunk beds is directly opposite the bathroom. Guests would find it hard to sleep in this room with the fan going on and off all nightThe view from the front and back doors is unappealing and the smell of rotting seaweed feels like your staying next to a sewage company with drainage problems
